Alpit Nordic
Quality recruitment process is a strategic choice for Alpit Nordic - "Nawia is more than just a supplier to us"
An expert organisation that prides itself on quality
When Alpit Nordic set out to find a partner for an important recruitment exercise, the aim was to find an actor who had a deep understanding of their way of working - and who reflected the same professionalism that the company itself wanted to represent. Nawia was chosen, and for good reason.
Alpit Nordic is a company specialising in IT infrastructure and related professional services, working closely with its customers to support their IT management. The company's approach is clear: to provide a consistent, reliable and diligent service - and to be seen as an expert and people-oriented partner.
"It's important to us that every recruitment encounter gives the candidate the impression that things are being handled well and professionally here. Even when we don't have time to be there at every turn," says Elias Pekkala, Sales Director at Alpit Nordic.
Recruiting with a partner - not a time-saver but a strategic decision
Alpit Nordic does not outsource recruitment to save time - but for quality. "It was clear to us that we wanted to look professional from the start. We wanted a recruitment partner who felt natural to work with and who understood our culture," says Elias.
Nawia was chosen after careful comparison. Among the four good candidates, Nawia stood out for her personality. "Right from the start, we got the feeling that they really wanted to work with us. The sales process was high quality - not formulaic, but genuinely conversational," says Elias.
A common thread was quickly found
The collaboration started with a recruitment need to strengthen the sales team. Elias highlights the role of Mikko, Nawia's sales manager, in the process. "Mikko really reflected a lot on who I was as a front person and what kind of person would fit into our team. He had a subtle way of interpreting things, and he went over even the smallest nuances with us," says Elias.
The result was a successful recruitment - Aleksi, who was selected for the job, has proved to be an excellent addition. "He has started really well, this was a great recruitment. Of course there was the usual initial nervousness, but that's part of the job. Nawia kept us informed throughout, and all possible observations were gone through together."
Lessons and insights for the future
The cooperation also brought insights. Elias feels that the process resulted in a better understanding of what can and should be expected from a recruitment partner. "Recruitment should not only be a performance, but also a place for mutual development. We now have a better understanding of how important it is to use the recruitment conversation also for sparring and clarifying thinking."
He says he appreciates that Nawia not only carried out the task - but challenged when necessary. "There were occasions when Nawia said directly that if we want really interesting candidates, we need to open up the salary model or rethink the angles of the role. This is exactly the kind of partnership I was hoping for."
The future of cooperation looks promising
Alpit Nordic sees Nawia as a partner, not just a service provider.
"In recruitment, we need to be able to deliver the same quality as in everything else we do. And when we have a partner who works like this, we can focus on what we do best."
Finally, Elias shares an idea from inside the company:
"If you never lie, you don't have to remember what you said. And that goes for recruiting too - being authentic is the best way to get the best results."
